Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do?
So yesterday I was fixing to leave for Walmart when my bishop’s wife called me to ask me what was going on in my neighborhood. Apparently, one of my good friends who lives one street down from me had come home to bustling police activity and somehow since everybody thinks I have connections (okay, so that’s not too far off) I was the one that got called.
That’s when I walked down the street and saw SWAT surrounding a house in my hood:
I was out with The Lewisville Texan Journal filming and covering the ordeal last night which lasted for several hours. My neighbors will tell you since around 3 pm when our kids were walking home from school.
Apparently a woman had been missing for several days and her employer made a welfare call to police. When they went to check on her, her husband began acting suspiciously and then holed himself up in his home for several hours until they were able to take him into custody. She was found inside dead. Get the FULL STORY on The Lewisville Texan Journal.
Oh and in case you think I am an idiot for standing out there shooting (wait, that ain’t a good use of words here)…I mean, photographing…we were in contact with police who had not seen any weapons while they were trying to negotiate with the man. I did not feel unsafe at any time. Also, I don’t care if you call me an idiot.
Who thinks it’s time for me to move? You know to the country with no neighbors.
