My husband is so cheap that when the Mother Trucker, Jeebus, and Fanny came to visit a couple weeks ago we went to the dollar movie theater and he found a bucket of popcorn in our aisle, ate it, and then used the “free refill” tab to get more popcorn. I think it was the cheapest date we’ve ever been on ($2 plus the cost of gas).

When I was at the Tillamook blogger party in Dallas a couple weeks ago, someone suggested I make a series of blog posts titled: My Husband is So Cheap That (fill in the blank). I thought it was a pretty clever idea so I thought I’d give it a try once a week here on Screwed Up Texan. Just think, it’s bound to be hilarious and most of us can relate to someone in our lives being cheap whether it’s a spouse, brother, grandparent, best friend, in-law, kid’s teacher, etc. Plus this is what my husband gets for painting a Christmas tree on our living room wall a couple years ago (we finally painted over it last year).
