A couple weeks ago, sticviews sent me free of charge personalized stickers in my size and shape to try out. I couldn’t believe the possibilities of their products. What a great way to begin the New Year with an updated look with custom stickers! The first thought that came to me on how to use the stickers (they call them stics) that sticviews sent me was to make personalized photo-tiles that I could display in my living room.
Can you believe it’s been years since we’ve had a family photograph taken that we’ve liked enough to hang in our home? Hence why sticviews came in handy.
The stics were easy to use. I simply ordered stics of my favorite individual family photos 1/4 inch smaller than the tile being used, peeled the stic from it’s backing, put a small film of water over the smooth tile to act as a barrier for easy repositioning, and smoothed the stic out. I repeated the process for each family member and voila! a perfect family portrait. The tiles could easily be placed on small craft easels or hung on the wall using mounting hardware. If the tiles ever break, no problem–just peel off the stic and place on another tile. Including the tiles, the cost I would have paid came out to roughly $25 for the entire project.
